Original copperplate engraving with contemporary handcolor, comes from Vivarium naturae or the naturalist's miscellany by George Shaw, with illustrations prepared by the family Nodder: Frederick Polydore Nodder (died ca 1800), his wife Elizabeth and their son Richard Polydore, published ca 1800.
The series by G. Shaw consisted of  24 volumes with  more than a thousand engravings, published  from 1789 till 1813 (one volume each year). After G.Shaw died(in 1813) the series continued as  the Zoological miscellany by W. E. Leach and R. P. Nodder, in 1814-17.
