Head of a girl - daughter of prominent textile manufacturer Herbert Eugen Esche, Erdmute Margaret Luchsinger. Edvard Munch has been invited by H.E Esche , visited him in 1905 and portrayed his family.
Engraving has been published as a supplement to art magazine titled ZEITSCHRIFT FÜR BILDENDE KUNST from year 1908.
Original etching measuring 16,4 x 11,6 cm , on a beige sheet measuring: 32,5 x 23,5 cm.
Excellent condition of a print, however the sheet bears traces of being removed and then glued back to a magazine (right margin slightly cut, with narrow vertical brown strip caused by glue).
